Podcast with Trail Eaffect: Mountain Bike Radio

On may 29th, I sat down with Josh Blum - Podcaster, Owner/Operator of Evolution Trail Services, father, and Mountain Biker - to discuss not only aMTB (adaptive mountain biking) but also what it means to show up Brave and meet a fellow travler on the trail. LISTEN HERE!

It was a pleasure to sit down with Blum and talk about some real stuff! Not just how rad it is to stick your face downhill and go fast but to also show up in all your vulnerability on the trail and allow someone to know you. That’s when the REAL bravery kicks in! We also talk about my ski racing career, childhood stories, and the all-around things that make life interesting.

I really appreciate Blum’s approach to his podcast. He has linked a common thread throughout all the people he interviews and that is that they all meet somewhere on the trail! Whether it be using bike bells, or creating Mt. bike trails in the desert, Mt. bike racing, etc., Blum has found that thread. I like that we are all connected in this way.

I think a trail is a great metaphor for life. We all come from different walks of life, we go through our own mud puddles if you will, and that’s where we pass each other on our trail of life. Sometimes we meet someone that rides with us for a long time, others for a short time. One thing’s for sure - we are never truly alone. At some point, someone has been exactly where we are now, or someone will follow in our tracks.

I hope you enjoy this podcast as much as I did making it with Josh Blum.
